Leather Care & Storage

The best place to store your leather is in a dark closet that is not too humid or too dry. Do not store leather or suede in plastic. If they are stored in plastic, in a warm environment, water can condense inside the plastic and mildew your leather. Once leather is mildewed it usually cannot be saved. Humidity can also make buttons and any metal adornment rust.

Always hang leather and suede garments on wide or padded hangers to maintain the shape. After you take leather or suede out of the closet, feel the skin. If it feels dry, it may need to be conditioned. Conditioning should be done by a reputable leather care provider. Allow wet or damp leather to air-dry naturally. Away from, any direct heat source.
